Treatment & Scheduling Coordinator
There are not enough words to describe Anne, our scheduler extraordinaire! She’s THAT wonderful! Anne finds appointments for patients where none seem available, and when there is an open spot, she somehow fills it. Anne is gracious, has a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She is sweet and kind and patient beyond belief! Negative words are not part of her vocabulary. Anne is the office angel –everyone loves Anne and she loves them right back. We couldn’t have placed a better person in the chair to greet you for your first visit as you walk in the door. Anne and her husband have 3 adult children who keep the “revolving door” to their home moving between college and new careers!
Insurance & Billing Coordinator
Debbie works to get our patients all the insurance benefits they have coming, and she’s also our resident IT expert. We go to her whenever the office computers go haywire! Debbie likes to think of herself as a mystery-solver, whether she’s getting to the bottom of an insurance conundrum or a technology glitch. We love having Debbie around to find those hard answers!
Between Debbie and her husband, they have seven kids and six grandkids! Family gatherings are never dull and they feel blessed to have such a large family. The family is very involved in their church in student ministries; the highlight of her summer is the high school summer camp, which is a family affair!
Registered Dental Hygienist
One of our patients nick-named Tracy the “floss Nazi”, and though the handle has stuck, we prefer the more affectionate name given by another patient, “Flossie”. Tracy has a whole fan club; when you want a “good scrubbin”, she’s the one you ask for!
But that’s not all you’ll get in Tracy’s room. She has her own back corner where she tells stories, gives incredible council, and will generally entertain you for the whole hour she has you captive. We often wonder about the laughter we hear echoing from that room in the back!
Registered Dental Hygienist
“Head Hygienist,” a title jokingly given her by another staff member many years ago, but one that we continue to call her to make her smile. Susan’s gentle spirit, even gentler hands, combined with her love of people, make her a favorite of many. She is our office “Diva” – loving clothes, shopping, furniture and decorating. Most of all, she loves her family deeply. Her grace touches everyone around her, and her innocence makes for lots of laughter around our office. We often have to explain the punch line to her! When she laughs, you can’t help but laugh along! Susan only works Mondays and Tuesdays, so she books up quickly. This allows her the time on her days off to do all the things she loves and brings her so much joy, which includes her family, church, and friends. If you would like to have an appointment with Susan, be sure to schedule it with plenty of time in advance.
Deep down, Lynette wants to be the doctor, so we keep her happy by calling her Dr. McKenna. She possesses a wealth of knowledge about most all subjects, but here's the clincher: what she doesn't know, she'll never admit, she just makes something up! It took the rest of us a long time to discover this, but we're starting to catch on!
Dr. Mark relies on her for almost everything as she's been his sidekick for over 22 years. If you spend much time in the chair flanked by the two of them, you’ll soon discover they're more like an old married couple than doctor and assistant.
If Shawna looks familiar, it’s because she is! She likes it so much here, she came back to work for us after being away for 14 years. After trying her hand at different things, she decided she likes the familiarity of dentistry—and Doc! They’ve been friends for years, and he is happy to have her back. She brings a calmness and thoroughness that complements our office well. Shawna and her husband have been married for 28 years! They were both raised in and still live in the Federal Way area. They have two beautiful young adult children that still love to hang out with Mom and Dad.
Rachel is the newest member of our team! Rachel is simply amazing in what she accomplishes in a day! Her official role is that of sterilization tech, keeping our instruments and all equipment in tip top shape. However, you will also see her up front sharing duties with Anne and Debbie, as well as buzzing around the office doing whatever she can to keep the office running. Don't be surprised if you are greeted upon arrival to your appointment with Rachel's smiling face and cheery attitute!
